Farewell Iain Edwards, Interim CEO, Guide Dogs Victoria

April 14, 2023

Guide Dogs Victoria will farewell Iain Edwards in his role as Interim CEO this Friday 14 April.

This follows Iain’s long relationship with Guide Dogs Victoria over the past 30 years as a Client, a donor, a volunteer speaker, a Puppy Raiser, a board director and for several years as the Chairperson of Guide Dogs Victoria.

“It has been an honour and privilege to lead the organisation as the Interim CEO over the last 10 months which has provided me with the opportunity to meet many of our staff, volunteers, Clients, supporters and partners and listen to their incredible life changing stories. What stands out is the passion and commitment our staff, volunteers, supporters and partners demonstrate every day in the care of our amazing puppies and in the support they provide to people who are blind and have low vision enabling them to live a life of their choosing,” Mr Edwards said.

“I am extremely proud of the professionalism and dedication of the teams that I work with at Guide Dogs Victoria. I’d like to thank you for your ongoing support,” Mr Edwards added.

Guide Dogs Victoria looks forward to welcoming new CEO Nicky Long from Monday 17 April. Nicky joins Guide Dogs Victoria with an impressive track record in the disability and non-profit sectors. She brings both the experience and drive to lead Guide Dogs Victoria into the future, combined with a deep passion and commitment to empower people living with a disability.
