Creating Connected Communities events in Bendigo

About the event
Last year, we spoke to many Clients in our regional communities who told us that they wanted more opportunities to connect with peers in their local area. We are now running a monthly Zoom event for Clients in the Bendigo region and will be expanding to more regions in the next few months.
These sessions are a great opportunity to make new friends and have a chat with other people who live with low vision and blindness. Staying connected with others is extremely important for maintaining good mental health, and this is particularly the case during COVID-19 and the uncertainty of future lockdowns.
The Zoom sessions run for one hour and may be either a general chat or focused on a particular topic that is of interest to Clients living with low vision and blindness.
A reminder notice will be sent the day before each session with the Zoom link or dial in options through which to join the group chat. Clients can also ask to be dialled into the chat if they are unable to connect independently. Our vision for regional Clients is to make sure that regardless of your physical location, you still have the opportunity to be a part of discussions and activities with other people living with low vision or blindness. So please – come along, join in the conversation, and help us create a more connected community!
