About the event
You are invited to participate in a series of fun-filled workshops where you will learn how to make beautiful origami Christmas decorations. Join other Clients and volunteers, meet new people, socialise and enjoy some laughs – everyone is welcome, and no experience is required as full training is provided.
Learn basic paper folding skills using plain paper in the first few workshops, and progress onto using decorated paper for the final designs.
The final decorations will adorn a large Christmas tree in Guide Dogs Victoria’s new sensory, fully accessible campus. We hope to produce 1,000 origami Christmas decorations, including stars, boxes, hearts and doves.
Date: Weekly, every Wednesday, beginning Wednesday 31 July through to Wednesday 2 October.
Participate in a few, or all of the classes – it’s completely up to you.
Time: 12 pm to 2 pm
Location: Guide Dogs Victoria’s Kew Campus in the Betty Amsden Education Centre, 2-6 Chandler Highway, Kew 3101
Participants are welcome to bring their own lunch. Tea, coffee and sweet treats will be provided at each workshop.
