Client programs and services your gifts can support
- Early childhood support: A newborn child or a very young child with vision loss will not have NDIS funding. Guide Dogs Victoria’s Early Childhood Services work with the child and parents to offer emotional and practical support in the crucial development stages of a child’s life.
- Sponsorship of one primary or secondary school camp program: Enable us to deliver an entire camp program for up to 14 children and teenagers with low vision and blindness where they can connect, learn and support their wellbeing. Held in our cozy, hotel-style residential suites on-Campus, these camps are often the first opportunity participants get to connect with others in their age group facing low vision or blindness.
- 12-month sponsorship of all school camps for primary and secondary students: Enable Guide Dogs Victoria to deliver a full year of quality camps for children and teenagers with low vision and blindness.

- Match a Client and their Guide Dog: Support a person with low vision or blindness on their journey to independence. Fully fund the two-week residential training program for a new Guide Dog Handler, providing the vital knowledge and skills to work confidently with their new Guide Dog and find freedom navigating the community together.
- Independent living partner: Enhance independence and connection for older adults with low vision or blindness, helping them thrive at home and in their communities through holistic vision services (orthoptics, orientation and mobility, assistive tech). Allow Clients to read, use technology, and navigate their environment safely, so they can remain in their home.
- Young Adult Program (YAP): Guide Dogs Victoria’s life development program for young adults (ages 18-35) with low vision or blindness. Empowers young adults with skills, peer connections, and confidence to face daily challenges and participate fully in life.
