Parent Wellbeing Webinar

Date | Time
Mon 02 December, 2024 7,30 pm to 8,30 pm

About the event

A mum has her arm around her son. Both are smiling at each other.

This online session recognises the unique challenges that parents of children with vision loss face – from moments of isolation to the demands of supporting their child’s growth and independence – and will be led by clinical psychologists Karen Knight and Sara Waitzer.

Both having lived experience with vision loss, Karen and Sara bring unique insight into the journey of supporting a child with low vision or blindness. Together, they have designed this workshop to introduce parents to wellbeing and self-care practices in a space specifically tailored to their needs. Through guided reflections and open discussion, parents receive practical tools for mental health support while gently opening the door to additional resources.

This is also a wonderful opportunity to connect with other parents navigating similar paths, creating a foundation for ongoing support and resources that empower your family to thrive.
