Guide Dogs Victoria Roadshow – Wangaratta

With thanks to the generous support from the Wangaratta Council, Guide Dogs Victoria would like to invite residents of Wangaratta and surrounds to learn about the latest technologies that can support people with low vision to live the lives they choose. 

Meet our Assistive Technology Specialist and Occupational Therapists to learn more about how technology can be used to keep doing the things that you love to do. 

• Explore technology including screen readers, screen magnifiers, specialist vision-specific devices and everyday devices with in-built accessibility. 
• Understand the accessibility features of a mobile phone and how these can assist us to navigate new environments. 
• Learn about the latest apps to assist with activities such as reading labels and menus or identifying people in a photo. 

Our team will be available to share their expertise and demonstrate the use of equipment to help people who are blind or have low vision achieve their goals of living a life without limits. 

Dates and times: Day 1 – Thursday 18 July 1.30 pm to 4.30 pm, Day 2 – Friday 19 July 9 am to 12 pm. 

Location: Quality Hotel Gateway, 29-37 Ryley Street, Wangaratta Victoria 3677. 

This will be a great opportunity to socialise, meet new people in the local blind and low vision community. Light refreshments will be available.
