About the event
We all know that technology can make life easier for everyone. Here at Guide Dogs Victoria, we also know that the right technology and devices can have a significant impact on everyday functioning, independence, social participation and overall wellbeing for people with low vision or blindness.
There are many tools and devices to help people access information, find their way around, connect with friends, or enjoy their favourite activities. As with any technology, it’s all about finding the right device and learning the skills to use them effectively, to ensure people are comfortable and supported in achieving their goals.
That’s where we come in.
Did you know – Guide Dogs Victoria has a team of Assistive Technology Specialists and Orthoptists on hand to help people with blindness or low vision identify their goals, find the right tools and devices to support them, then provide the training and skills they need to make these goals a reality?
When you make a referral to Guide Dogs Victoria, you can open up the doors to multi-disciplinary holistic assessment including Assistive Technology, Orthoptics, Orientation and Mobility, Occupational Therapy and more!
Join us online to find out more.
