Guide Dogs Victoria 2025 school holiday camps and day programs
Explore upcoming school holiday camps and day programs for children and young adults in 2025! These sessions offer fun and practical opportunities for children to build orientation, mobility, and real-world skills with professional support – all while connecting with others.
Regionally based students are encouraged to contact us to discuss accommodation options to support your attendance of the programs.
- Australian Open All Abilities Day – 21 January 2025
Experience navigating crowds and new environments with Orientation and Mobility support while enjoying the tennis.
- Dine, Dog and Dash – 22 January 2025
Join Occupational Therapy and Orientation and Mobility specialists to learn cooking, orientation and mobility skills. Open to all ages and guests including siblings, cousins, or friends. We may even have our dogs help us with some activities!
- Geelong Get a Move On – 23 January 2025
Put your orientation and mobility skills to the test with travel challenges in Geelong, guided by Orientation and Mobility and Occupational Therapy staff.
- Stepping Stones to Senior Camps – 7 to 9 April 2025
Late-primary to early-secondary-aged students can further develop their Orientation and Mobility and Occupational Therapy life skills in this fun and immersive camp, designed to prepare and develop skills required for our senior camps.
- Happy Campers – 16 April 2025
A fun and specialised day program to prepare and teach younger students skills to begin attending camps either with their own school or Guide Dogs Victoria in the future. Participants learn to manage belongings, pack bags, make breakfast, and much more.
- Junior Camp – 7 to 9 July 2025
Designed for primary-aged students looking to have fun, make new friends, grow their confidence, and explore mobility concepts in a safe and supportive setting. Through Occupational Therapy activities, participants develop important life skills.
- 16 July 2025 – Games Day
All ages welcome! Join us for a thrilling day jam-packed with accessible games and gaming.
- Family Fun Day – 23 September 2025
Come together with families in the Guide Dogs Victoria community for a curated day of Orientation and Mobility games and activities, tandem bike riding, plus a wholesome picnic lunch in our immersive sensory gardens. All ages welcome.
- Senior Camp – 29 to October 1 September 2025
Held in the second week of the school holidays, participants have the opportunity to attend the Melbourne Royal Show. Focusing on fun, social connections and age-appropriate travel for secondary-aged students, those that register will be encouraged to be involved in the design of this program.
