Bendigo Seniors Festival 2022

Guide Dogs Victoria has an action-packed program as part of this year’s Greater Bendigo Senior’s Week festival! We have a host of opportunities for you to learn more about Puppy Raising, Assistive Technology, and low vision strategies for reading and maintaining the hobbies you love.

Volunteering and Meet the Pups: Puppy Raising and Volunteering Information Sessions FREE
Learn about volunteering with Guide Dogs Victoria as a Puppy Raiser and what it takes to raise a Guide Dog puppy for 12 months. Without the incredible contribution of Puppy Raisers, Guide Dogs Victoria would not be able to train life-changing Guide Dogs.
Chairs and refreshments will be available.

Come and Try: Tools for Reading FREE
Meet with Guide Dogs Victoria’s low vision specialist to learn about strategies for reading books, newspapers or magazines, reading labels in supermarkets, pharmacies and shops and maintaining the hobbies you love.

Meet Guide Dogs Victoria’s Assistive Technology specialists and learn how accessible technology can enhance your independence. Some of these tools and technologies may be new, while others can be devices you already own.
