National Volunteer Week 2021 is here!
This week is National Volunteer Week – another very special time for all of us here at Guide Dogs Victoria – and this year’s theme is Recognise. Reconnect. Reimagine.
Our incredible volunteers truly are the lifeblood of our organisation, so we wanted to take this opportunity recognise the valuable contribution that all our volunteers make to Guide Dogs Victoria. Whether you are one of our admin volunteers or a driver, you’re working in the kennels or the nursery, you’ve opened your home to one of our splendid pups full-time or you are there when we need temp care, our volunteers play a vital role in the success of Guide Dogs Victoria, and therefore the success of our Clients.
Last year was especially hard for our volunteers whose programs were either on hold or being run differently to what they were used to. We appreciate the challenges that our volunteers faced during this time, and want to thank our volunteers for sticking with us through what can only be described as one of our toughest times!
On behalf of Guide Dogs Victoria, thank you, and happy National Volunteer Week!
