Come along to this class and U-can-lele too!
This 3-week ukulele program is a pilot program and is suitable for total beginners. Participants will learn ukulele basics in a relaxing and supportive environment guided by a GDV OT.
Things the participants will learn:
- Orientation to a ukelele including the body and strings.
- How to hold a ukelele.
- Tunning a ukelele with tuner or an app on the phone.
- Basic chord shapes such as C, Am, F, G.
- Basic strumming patterns.
- Learn the chord progression for your favorite song.
- Use of assistive technology to view music
Dates:
- Thurs 21st Nov – 2 hours.
- Thurs 28th Nov – 2 hours.
- Thurs 5th Dec – 2 hours.
Participants are encouraged to sign up for all three sessions.
Time: 1pm – 3pm. Welcome to stay back longer for chats.
Location: Training Apartment Kew Campus.
Age Group: 18+ year olds. (Maximum 5 participants)
Cost: $78 – $129 per session (cost is dependent on the number of participants attended. Invoiced at the end of the program to your chosen funding. For example, $78 per session when we have five participants, $129 per session when we have three participants).
GDV will provide ukuleles to use on the day, however the participants are encouraged to bring their own ukuleles if they own one.
