There are an estimated 450,000 people in Australia with low vision or blindness, a third of these live in Victoria. At Guide Dogs Victoria we are focused on working with the world’s best organisations to develop innovative technologies, such as Beacon, to make Victoria more accessible.

Beacon is an internal-wayfinding system that provides verbal directions and real-time information through a smartphone, about the space a person is navigating. This tiny device has the ability to open up opportunities to explore new places with confidence and ease.
